Proctors and Evaluators

The objective of the Fire Service Technology (FST) Proctor and Evaluator program is to produce qualified part-time proctors and evaluators through a process designed to support and meet national standards. This program is specifically designed for those who desire to support the FST certification testing program. FST state instructors, proctors, and evaluators are EITC adjunct faculty and compensated through the College.

FST will select and assign all proctors and evaluators on a rotational basis when possible for certification examinations. FST maintains a list of approved proctors and evaluators representing various emergency response organizations within each region. Successful instructors are the primary source of proctors and evaluators. By networking with fire service and other emergency response professionals, the FST staff receives recommendations for potential proctors and evaluators. From those recommendations, FST will screen, select and train proctors and evaluators.

We are not currently accepting applications for proctors or evaluators while we update our IFSAC Evaluator Training. Please email Mariha Berrett if you would like to be notified when we have completed the training and are accepting applications.
